Thirty years ago Paul Margetis opened the Olympian Diner for business in South Braintree Square at the corner of Pearl Street and Hancock. Early customers from surrounding neighborhoods frequented the diner because the menu was basic and simple, and the food and value were exceptional.
Now located across the street at 17 Hancock, Olympian Diner and Restaurant is operated by Paul and his two sons for a broader base of loyal customers who come for a variety of favorite items.
One Braintree resident comments: "Their blueberry pancakes are the best in town! I also love their broiled fish, and french fries. My favorite dessert there is tapioca pudding!"
